This was not a 5 star story, it was worth a whole lot more than that! This story had me on the edge of my seat the whole way through, and not just because of one major thing that happens, either. No....there is so much going on in this short story it'll have your head spinning.This story is sort of a continuation of Book#2, starting with the marriage of Gage and Shar, but sometimes bad things happen to prevent our plans from being completed, as we planned.
Everyone is at the resort getting ready for Gage and Shar's big day. The only problem is, is that Gage is no where to be found. He's not answering his phone, either. While some people may believe it's just a case of wedding jitters, Shar knows better. Something has happened to him; she can feel it clear down into her bones. But that's not the only thing to worry about today, there's a whole lot of things popping up, things that will end up shaking everyone's world apart.
I can't say enough good things about this story. As short as it was, it sure pack one heck of a whallop! I'm loving this series and looking forward to the rest of the series.

I just love these clean and well written books by Debra Clopton. The characters, family relationships and romantic plot are just perfect. Shar and Gage's story was another one I could not put down until finished. i am off to buy the next in the series.
In this book Gage is shot when he stops to assertion that BJ is his brother. Of course he was on his way to his wedding. There are many interesting twists and turns to the plot which lead to a happy ending.
The continued story of Shar and Gage, will they pull off the wedding of their dreams or will distractions and outside forces get in their way? With this Kiss is an amazing read and is filled with intense moments, tears, laughter, and joy. Will Gage get to the wedding on time? Are Shar's fears that something is wrong true or just nervous jitters? This story shows that true loves binds two hearts together and love that is strong can stand the test of time. We meet new people in this short story and I can't wait to see how each person plays are role throughout the remaining books in the Windswept Bay Series. If you haven't read the first two books in this series you need to get them and get caught up because I believe that adventures, love, and excitement await us all as love is found Windswept Bay time and time again.
The day of the wedding finally arrives. Shar is getting nervous because Gage is running late. Gage decided to stop at the marina to check out the lead on his brother Brandon who he just after the reading of his father's will finds out he has a half brother. Gage hears then talking on the boat. B.J.McCALL comes out if the cabin and Gage takes one look at his blue eyes and knows he found his brother. There is a man on board with a gun. Don't miss this story short but moving at a fast pace.
I started reading Debra Clopton's books and was happy that they appeared to be well written.
My biggest disappointment to date is that I read book #3 which was a continuation of #2. It had 80 something pages in it. I purchased this on for $2.99 and if you would buy the hard back, it would be around $9.00.
I think that it should have been added to book #2 and then #3 would be about the next sister.
With this being said, I have chosen to take her books off of my favorite lists
Next time, perhaps you should charge more for #2 and add it to that book.
With This Kiss is a novella by Debra Clopton. It is a bridge between Somewhere With You and Forever and Always. It may be short but it packs a punch.
Shar Sinclair is ready to get married. Her family, with the exception of her other triplet Olivia, is all here and everything is ready. The only problem is the groom is missing. Shar feels something is wrong; but she doesn’t know what. Her brother Levi is called away as shots are fired at the marina near the store that was just robbed is located. Levi is hoping it has nothing to do with Gage.
Gage Lancaster was on his way to the resort to marry Shar when he received a text from the private investigator he had working for him. The PI was trying to locate his long-lost brother that he just heart about when his Father’s will was read. His Father had tried to find the boy after his mother took him away; but had no luck. Now this lead led to the marina which was on the way to the resort. It would take only a minute to find the boat and ask the owner a few questions.
What happens on the boat? What was the shot about? Was it Gage? Was the man he was going to talk to his brother? Would Gage find him only to lose him?
I enjoy the Windswept Bay books. I like the characters, and I greatly appreciate that the author keeps the romances sweet and clean. With this book, however, I admit to being disappointed. Not in the story or the characters, but with (a) the price of $2.99, which seems high for a short novella, particularly when (b) the editing in this book is almost nonexistent, especially when compared with the other books. While the other books aren't necessarily perfectly edited, this book had typos and grammatical errors ("blasted all" instead of "blast it all", missing punctuation or even words, etc.) all over the place. And that, unfortunately, made it more difficult to follow the story and enjoy it. I'm hoping the next book in the series is better edited. This one reads like a first draft.
